Welcome to the new inn

The New Inn  is a picturesque traditional 18th Century inn renowned for real ale, home cooked food, live music and a warm welcome.

Only 3 miles from Wakefield, in the pretty village of Walton, the inn has retained many of it's original features, with  weathered oak beams, stone flags, traditional decor and open fires in winter.

Outside in the grounds we have an extensive beer garden, patio seating and parking. We hold outside events such as BBQ's and hog roasts, with a marquee available for large parties. The well stocked Tommy's Bar features real ales, cask beers, lagers, wines and spirits and champagne.

Our renowned restaurant is plushly carpeted and upholstered and serves a large variety of home made dishes from local produce, in addition to informal bar meals, not forgetting our famed "takeaway fish and chips"!

The New Inn also has a busy and varied calendar, with regular weekly live music including Rosie Doonan's folk night every Wednesday, quiz nights, beer festivals and outside events.
